Politics

Around since 1981, the riding has only ever elected Tory MLAs.

For the first 19 years of its life, it was the home riding for Premier Gary Filmon. Heather Stefanson has held it for the Tories since 2000.

The NDP had a surprisingly strong showing in Tuxedo in 2007 with a very young, unknown candidate -- but this is generally seen as a safe seat for the PCs.

Matt Schaubroeck, NDP 2,590

Audra Bayer, LIB 1,854
