Million Dollar Day

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Indeed, Winnipeggers’ will to achieve lasting change and better lives inspired over $1 million in donations for United Way - in a single day!

That extreme burst of generosity on Thursday helped boost United Way’s campaign to 78% of our total goal.

Today, I was very proud to share the good news with almost 200 volunteers and agency partners during United Way’s Report Session 3 at "my house" – Red River College.

That leaves us with only eight weeks left in our campaign and $4 million still to raise. Every person and every contribution counts. Your participation will be vital in the final stretch.

Thanks to CTV’s Jordan Witzel for hosting, to Lisa Janke, Community Development Coordinator at Nor’West Co-op Community Health Centre for her speech, and to Steve Kirby from U of M for demonstrating the impact of participation.

Finally, thanks to everyone at Red River College for doing me proud!
