Fredborg, Todd new junior Manitoba golf champs

Travis Fredborg of the Selkirk Golf and Country Club and Dana Todd of St. Charles Country Club are the Manitoba junior men and women's golf champions.

Fredborg finished the fourth and final round of the tournament with one over par. He finished plus five overall after completing rounds at both the Selkirk Golf and Country Club and Elmhurst Golf and Country Club.

Steven Young was the runner up, falling three strokes back from Fredborg to finish with a plus eight. Young was the leader at the start of the final round.

Todd completed the three round tournament with a plus 15. She finished the final round with a plus eight today.

Runner up Veronica Vetesnik bested Todd in the final round with a score of plus five. But she finished plus 17 overall.

Fredborg and Todd will represent Manitoba at the national championship and at the Canada Summer Games.
