Hutchinson named most valuable player
Madison Hutchinson, the captain of the 2012 Esso Cup national female midget hockey champion Pembina Valley Hawks, has been named the 2011-2012 Most Valuable Player in the Manitoba (AAA) Female Midget Hockey League.
Hutchinson, who was named the top defenceman at the Esso Cup, had 85 points for the Hawks in MFMHL, exhibition and tournament play this season.
Pembina Valley won the Esso Cup at the Hockey Canada tournament last month beating the Thunder Bay Queens 4-2 in the final on April 28.
