Kleysen, Clennon named players of the week

Stephanie Kleysen, a third-year guard, is the University of Winnipeg Wesmen Pizza Hotline player of the week.

Kleysen was named to the pre-season tournament all-star team, averaging 11 points and 10.7 rebounds per game in the three-game affair.

In Friday’s 70-67 win over Lakehead, Kleysen scored 17 points and had 17 rebounds.

Jordan Clennon, also a third-year guard, earned honours as the school’s male athlete of the week.

Clennon led his team in scoring in a two-game, non-conference series against Lakehead on the weekend in Thunder Bay.

He tallied 39 points, including 18 of 25 from the floor over the two games.
