Quarterback Ryan Marsch and receiver Matthew Lariviere will once again be a dynamic duo in the 2012 football season.

The two former Winnipeg Rifles junior players have now both committed to the University of Manitoba Bisons football team as Lariviere was one of six former Rifles announced on Wednesday as having committed to the Bisons for the 2012 Canada West football season. Marsch, who set a Canadian Junior Football single-season passing record of 3,030 yards with the Rifles last season, officially joined the Bisons last week.

Also joining the Bisons are receiver Derek Dean, offensive lineman Nevin Gamblin, fullback Bryan Giesbrecht, offensive lineman Alex McKay and receiver Alex Vitt.

"The most significant and important recruiting area in the nation is right here at home. With that specifically, our top recruiting ground has long been the Winnipeg Rifles junior Football program," stated Bison football head coach Brian Dobie, going into his 17th season as Bisons head coach.
