Hoopster Lother goes out in a blaze of glory
GUARD Nick Lother of the University of Winnipeg men's basketball team capped his five-year university career with a career weekend and national accolades.
Lother has been named male athlete of the week by Canadian Interuniversity Sport, the Canada West Conference and the U of W.
The 5-foot-10 guard scored 45 points and 33 points in a weekend split in Lethbridge against the Pronghorns and has been named both Canada West male athlete of the week and U of W male athlete of the week.
His 45 points last Friday was a Canada West season-high while he set single-game Canada West and U of W records for most free throws attempted (28) and most free throws made (22).
