The Dakota Lancers have won every Winnipeg High School Football League championship final they've played in.
In fact, they have never lost a game in their team's young history.
On Wednesday night at Canad Inns Stadium, Dakota whacked the Daniel McIntyre Maroons 30-2 to claim the Canad Inns Bowl as Currie Division A champions.
In the junior varsity final, the undefeated Oak Park Raiders defeated the Grant Park Pirates 43-12 to capture the Home Run Sports Bowl and put a cap on the first junior varsity season in the history of the WHSFL.
Running back Bryce Davidson scored three touchdowns for the Lancers (who finish the year at 10-0), including a 71-yard gallop, while David Kargbo scored the other major.
Daniel Mac's points came on a safety touch.
In the JV game, Kedon Sweetney had three touchdowns for the Raiders while Miracle Tamana, Tyson Morrissey and Brady Will each scored one major.
Championship action continues tonight at Canad Inns Stadium.
The 6-1 Kildonan East Reivers and the 7-0 Murdoch MacKay Clansmen will play for the Vidruk Division AA championship and Free Press Bowl in the first game, beginning at 5 p.m.
The Potter Division A, ANAVET Bowl championship final between the St. Paul's Crusaders (7-0) and Oak Park Raiders (6-1), kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

University of Manitoba hockey players Mike Hellyer and Chantal De Spiegelaere are the 2010 recipients of the $1,000 R.A. (Sam) Fabro Scholarships, awarded annually by the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame.
Hellyer is playing his fourth season with the Herd. He led the team in scoring last season. He was also selected to the Canada West all-star team that won a silver medal in the World University Games in China.
De Spiegelaere has spent four seasons on the Bisons defence. She also serves as the women's hockey rep on the U of M athletes' council.

Tennis buffs, mark Nov. 27 on your calendar.
As part of the annual Tennis Manitoba awards and hall of fame event, Davis Cup players Peter Polansky, ranked 206 on the ATP Tour (as of Nov. 1), and No. 336 Philip Bestor will be in Winnipeg to play an exhibition match.

Defensive back Pete Adams has been chosen as a 2010 Canada West Football All-Star. This is his second consecutive selection as a conference all-star.
In his three years at Manitoba, the 6-foot-2, 201-pound Adams has accumulated 93 total tackles, which is good for 12th in team history.

St. Charles Golf Club's Dana Todd has been presented with the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tours Play Collegiate Golf Award.
Todd is a Grade 10 student at Westwood Collegiate.
