Rutner pins down two gold medals
Wrestling in two weight classes, Caleb Rutner led the Winnipeg Wrestling Club with two gold medals Saturday at the Elmwood Giants Open Wrestling Tournament held at Elmwood High School.
Rutner defeated clubmate Julien Labossiere in the junior high, 65-kilogram gold-medal final, while Kiril Akbar of Grant Park finished third.
For his next gold-medal performance Rutner stepped up to the high school division, but dropped to the 63-kg class to get the better of Niverville's Jared Funk.
