Wesmen baseball games cancelled

The weekend baseball series between the Winnipeg Wesmen and the Lumberjacks from the Dakota College at Bottineau scheduled for Shaw Park has been cancelled due to wet field conditions.

The Saturday and Sunday seven-inning double-header games were to mark the new Wesmen baseball team's home opening weekend.

The Wesmen have a 4-10 record so far and will play 37 exhibition games against teams from various American colleges with the future goal of joining the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
