  • Print

DENVER - The Los Angeles Dodgers have recalled infielder Erisbel Arruebarrena from Triple-A Albuquerque and optioned infielder Carlos Triunfel to the Isotopes.

This is the second callup for Arruebarrena. He was initially recalled from Double-A Chattanooga on May 21 and hit .308 in six games before being sent to Albuquerque on June 6.

Triunfel, who was claimed off waivers from Seattle on April 22, hit .154 in 13 games after being recalled twice from Triple-A in June. His first call up was June 15th when infielder Chone Figgins strained his left quad muscle and was placed on the 15-day DL. He was optioned to Albuquerque on June 26 but was back three days later when the Dodgers placed infielder Justin Turner on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain.
