Fish dump Saltdogs in first playoff game

A spattering of rain didn't dampen spirits during the Winnipeg Goldeyes' first playoff game of the season Wednesday against the Lincoln Saltdogs. Saltdogs' #39 Ian Gac warms up the lumber.

A few fans sheltered under umbrellas at Shaw Park Wednesday evening but short showers didn't dampen the enthusiasm as the Goldeyes and Saltdogs opened up the playoff season.
Goldeyes fan Nicholas Kuhlman, 12, shows up early to most of the team's games with his program and pen handy. He's got all of the Goldeyes' players signatures but is always on the hunt for new autographs.
Before Wednesday's playoff game, Nicholas caught Lincoln Saltdogs' Manager Ken Oberkfell, who is also a World Series winner in the big leagues.
