Fish fans can show love with new licence plate
The Winnipeg Goldeyes have a new piece of hardware to add to their championship -- and it will be sprouting soon on Manitoba streets.
On Friday, the Goldeyes and the province unveiled a run of Goldeyes license plates, in celebration of the team's 20th anniversary and their last-season championship run.
The plates, which are coloured Goldeyes gold and feature the team's logo, cost $70. Thirty dollars from every plate will go to the Goldeyes' Field of Dreams Foundation.
Applications for the plates will be available at every Autopac outlet in Manitoba.
The plates come after the resounding success of the province's Blue Bombers and Jets plates, the latter of which sold more than 21,000 plates.
