Fish sign two, trade one
The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed left-handed rookie pitchers Eddie Sipple and Cody King for the 2012 American Association baseball season and traded outfielder Asif Shah.
Sipple, 23, was signed as a free agent by the Los Angeles Angels last season following his senior year at Florida Southern College. In 15 games with Orem of the Rookie level Pioneer League, Sipple went 1-0 with a 4.15 ERA. He threw 20 strikeouts in 13.1 innings. King, 21, competed at the junior college level at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland last season.
Shah, acquired from the Normal Cornbelters of the Frontier League earlier this offseason, was traded to the Lincoln Saltdogs for cash.
