Goldeyes place pitcher on waivers
The Winnipeg Goldeyes placed right-handed pitcher Griffin Bailey on irrevocable waivers on Sunday for the purpose of granting him his release.
Manager Rick Forney used the 27-year-old as a reliever.
Bailey had a 0-1 record with a 10.50 ERA in six appearances out of the Goldeyes bullpen.
The Goldeyes, who now have 10 pitchers and 10 position players on their active roster, begin a four-game set on Monday in Fargo against the RedHawks.
