Goldeyes go belly up against Lemurs

  • Print

A nine-run third inning was more than enough for the Laredo Lemurs as they spanked the Winnipeg Goldeyes 18-5 at Uni-Trade Stadium on Wednesday to take the three-game series 2-1.

Goldeyes starter Jason Jarvis lasted just 2 2/3 innings and was retired after giving up nine runs.

The Fish defence didn't help the cause, tying a team record with six errors in the game.

Third baseman Ryan Pineda had two hits and scored two runs to lead Winnipeg at the plate.

The Goldeyes have a day to recover before beginning a three-game series against the Lincoln Saltdogs at Haymarket Park on Friday.
