Goldeyes Hawkins off the disabled list
The Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team has activated left-handed pitcher Rich Hawkins from the disabled list.
It is expected that manager Rick Forney will start Hawkins (2-1, 7.27 ERA in four starts) on the mound for the Goldeyes (29-20) tonight against the Sioux Falls Pheasants (25-24) at 7 p.m. at Shaw Park.
The Pheasants are expected to start Mark Michael (5-3, 4.73).
Tonight's game is the 50th game of Winnipeg's 100-game season and will be the last of this four-game set between Winnipeg and Sioux Falls.
The Goldeyes are on a three-game winning streak after beating the Pheasants in the first three games to win the series. The Pheasants will be looking to avoid being swept and end a five-game losing skid.
