Goldeyes acquire pitcher Ryan Bollinger

  • Print

The Winnipeg Goldeyes have acquired Ryan Bollinger from the Trois-Rivieres Aigles of the Can-Am League.

The 23-year-old pitcher went 4-7 with a 4.73 ERA through 13 games and 10 starts with the Aigles this season. The lefty is from Minot, N.D, and played three seasons in the Chicago White Sox organization at the Rookie and Class A levels from 2011-2013. He started his professional career the Windy City Thunderbolts of the Frontier League in 2010.

The acquisition adds more depth to a bullpen that has already been impressive all season but it also meant they had to give a player some unfortunate news.

In order to make room on their active roster, the Fish have placed rookie infielder Sam Kimmel on waivers. Kimmel appeared in 15 games for the Fish, with a batting average of .139.

The Goldeyes active roster includes 12 pitchers and 10 position players.
