Goldeyes announce official brew
The Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team now has its own beer.
The Angry Fish Pilsner was announced Friday at Shaw Park. The limited edition product will be available at Manitoba Liquor Marts and beer vendors across Manitoba on May 18. It will be on sale at Shaw Park for the Goldeyes’ 2012 American Association home-opener on May 29 when the team hosts the Amarillo Sox.
The 473 ml cans, sold as singles and in a variety of quantities, bear the "Angry Fish" logo that the team introduced a year ago.
"You can see that the logo is a work of art in itself," said Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier who made the announcement along with Orest Horechko of Fort Garry Brewing Company. "It’s a partnership that began in 2003 and one that we look forward to continuing into the future."
The Goldeyes are the only professional sports team in Winnipeg to serve Fort Garry products.
