Goldeyes make three additional roster moves
The revolving door that leads to the Winnipeg Goldeyes clubhouse is spinning again.
Goldeyes manager Rick Forney made three more roster moves Sunday morning, signing right-handed pitcher Billy Spottiswood, activating righty Stephen Kahn from the disabled list and moving hurler Rich Hawkins to the disabled list. The Fish are in action at Shaw Park Sunday afternoon at 1:30 against the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks.
The 27-year-old Spottiswood started this season with the St. Paul Saints, posting an 0-1 record with a 5.55 ERA in 11 bullpen appearances. Drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2007 MLB amateur draft, Spottiswood played five seasons in their organization, reaching Triple-A in 2009 and 2010. With Double-A Mobile in 2011, he posted a 2.86 ERA in 51 relief appearances.
Kahn was acquired from the Laredo Lemurs last week, while Hawkins has made four starts for the Goldeyes this season.
