The Winnipeg Goldeyes blasted the St. Paul Saints out of their own ball park Monday night to the tune of 11-3.
Mark Hardy pitched the first complete game for a Goldeye this season and won his fourth game of the year. Amos Ramon, Leonard Davis and Nate Samson each drove in a pair of runs as the Fish scored five runs in the seventh inning. Ramon hit a solo homer in the top of the first and the Fish finished the evening with 14 hits.
The Goldeyes improved to 17-13 and remain in first place in the American Association’s North Division.
Game 2 of the three-game series at Midway Stadium goes Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. in St. Paul, Minn.
