Goldeyes put Phillips on irrevocable waivers
The Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team placed rookie left-handed pitcher Barrett Phillips on irrevocable waivers, the Goldeyes announced on Thursday.
Phillips, 21, had no record and a 3.52 ERA in 11 games for the Goldeyes in the 2012 season.
The Goldeyes are on a seven-game road trip playing four games Thursday through Sunday in Sioux City, Iowa followed by three games in Sioux Falls, S.D., June 18-20.
Winnipeg now has 20 players on its active roster, evenly split between pitchers and position players.
