Goldeyes shuffle their starting rotation

  • Print

The Winnipeg Goldeyes shuffled their starting pitching Sunday, signing right-hander Jon Sintes and sending Chandler Barnard packing.

Sintes just wrapped up a season with the Rosarita Langosteros of the North Mexican League, though statistics weren’t available from that stint. Last year, the 28-year-old Florida hurler went 6-7 with a 3.71 ERA in 14 starts with Santa Fe’s Pecos League squad.

Barnard came to the Fish from the United League, and in two stints with the team he went 4-2 with a 4.28 ERA in seven starts and one relief outing.

The Goldeyes will already look to Sintes for some work, as he is slated to start tonight as the Goldeyes open a four-game road series against the Sioux City Explorers.
