The Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team, the reigning American Association champion, announced its 2013 season schedule noting that it will host 11 different opponents -- the most in franchise history -- at Shaw Park.

The Goldeyes will open the 2013 season, the baseball club's 20th anniversary season, on May 17 in Texas for a 10-game road swing against the Grand Prairie AirHogs and Amarillo Sox in Texas followed by a four-game set in Nebraska against the Lincoln Saltdogs.

The 2013 home-opener is on May 27, when the Goldeyes will host the South division champion Laredo Lemurs.

Interlocking play with the Can-Am League will continue in 2013 with the Goldeyes playing five series and 17 games against Can-Am League opponents.

A seven-game homestand Aug. 27-Sept. 2 will conclude the regular season with North division opponents St. Paul Saints and the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks visiting Shaw Park.

The Goldeyes will play 40 games against North division teams, 34 games against Central division teams, 17 games of interlocking play with Can-Am League teams and nine games against South division opponents.
