Fish put hurler on waivers
THE Winnipeg Goldeyes placed rookie left-handed pitcher Barrett Phillips on irrevocable waivers, the team announced Thursday.
Phillips, 21, had no record and a 3.52 ERA in 11 games for the Goldeyes in the 2012 American Association season.
The Goldeyes are on a seven-game road trip, playing four games Thursday through Sunday in Sioux City, Iowa, followed by three games in Sioux Falls, S.D., June 18-20.
Winnipeg now has 20 players on its active roster, evenly split between pitchers and position players.
