THE 2014 American Association schedule, announced Wednesday, already has one highlight for Winnipeg.
The Goldeyes will host the league's all-star game, July 29 at 7 p.m. at Shaw Park.
It will cap a two-day celebration for the league, which is holding its all-star game for the first time since 2010.
The Goldeyes have previously hosted two all-star games, in 2001 and 2008 for the old Northern League.
The format of the game has yet to be determined but the two teams will be managed by the skippers of the teams that met in the 2013 league final -- Greg Tagert of the champion Gary SouthShore RailCats and Kevin Hooper of the Wichita Wingnuts.
Other details released Wednesday show Winnipeg's regular-season schedule will include 10 different visiting teams, beginning with Sioux City for the home opener May 26.
Prior to that, the Goldeyes will head south for two exhibition games and a season-opening 10-game road trip to Texas and Nebraska.
The Goldeyes' second homestand will feature the first-ever visit by the Grand Prairie AirHogs to Shaw Park, June 10-12.
Winnipeg will also head east for the second year in a row, taking a 10-game road trip through the Can-Am League in late June.
Their opponents for those games, as well as a late-summer series (Aug. 18-20) vs. a Can-Am team will be determined at a later date.
The defending champion RailCats will be in town for a weekend series July 11-13, while Winnipeg will visit Gary just before the all-star break.
The Goldeyes are also at home on Canada Day, against Kansas City.
The schedule also includes 13 games against the rival Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, including a July 4 game in Fargo.
