THE Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed a pair of infielders for the 2009 Northern League baseball season.

Josh Asanovich, a five-year man in the Tampa Bay Rays' system, helped the Montgomery Biscuits to a Southern AA League title in 2007 and is a career .267 hitter in 501 games, with 22 home runs. He's 26.

Adam Frost, 22, batted .270 with four home runs and 19 RBI playing in the Detroit Tigers' organization last season. The signings bring to 24 the number of players on manager Rick Forney's roster, with training camp opening May 1 at Canwest Park.
