No. 3 Yurendell de Caster, infielder, 32: Veteran from the Caribbean island of Curaßao is expected to be the everyday first baseman. He has hit over .300 in the past four seasons, including three at the triple-A level.

No. 4 Chris Salamida, left-handed pitcher, 27: One of two returning starting pitchers (Ace Walker is the other). Winning 11 games last season, he became just the second Goldeyes pitcher to win 10 or more games in back-to-back seasons.

No. 8 Dan Barbero, outfielder, 29: A second-season rookie, as his first complete professional season was in 2011 in the Can-Am League, where he hit .309 between three teams.

No. 9 Chris Kaminski, RH pitcher, 23: A rookie straight out of Jacksonville State (NCAA), where he had a career record of 12-9.

No. 10 Amos Ramon, infielder, 28: Expected to be the everyday third baseman. He is returning from a season-ending knee injury suffered in the first game last season.

No. 11 Jon Weber, outfielder, 34: A veteran returning player who is expected to resume duties as the left fielder/designated hitter. Last season he hit a team-best .326 in 69 games. He led the Goldeyes, with catcher Luis Alen, with 30 doubles.

No. 13 Josh Mazzola, outfielder, 25: Utility player can drive in runs and brings the capability of playing the corner infield and corner outfield positions as well as DH. Hit .251 and had 50 RBI last season with single-A Augusta in the Giants' organization.

No. 14 Price Kendall, infielder, 26: The American Association's 2011 rookie of the year is expected to take over at shortstop. In 2011, he hit .324 in the leadoff position and led the Goldeyes with 135 hits.

No. 15 Chris Roberson, outfielder, 32: Former major league player who played parts of the 2006 and 2007 seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies, hitting .232 in 85 games between the two seasons. He is expected to play centre field.

No. 16 Barrett Phillips, pitcher, 21: A rookie southpaw who is the youngest player in camp, turning 22 next month.

No. 18 Luis Alen, catcher, 26: Returning to Winnipeg to be the everyday catcher, he will become the first catcher in franchise history to play four seasons for the Goldeyes. Last season he hit .322 and had 57 RBI in 93 games and, along with Weber, led the Goldeyes with 30 doubles.

No. 20 Matt Cusick, infielder, 25: Expected to play second base, Cusick has played five professionals seasons and hit .261 in 63 games in the double-A Texas League in 2011.

No. 24 Brian Leach, pitcher, 26: A right-hander and a possible closer who pitched the past four seasons in the Pittsburgh organization.

No. 25 Cody King, pitcher, 23: A rookie left-hander straight out of Anne Arundel junior college who could find a spot at starter or reliever.

No. 26 Ridge Carpenter, outfielder, 22: Versatile returning outfielder hit .320 in his first professional season last year. He retains his rookie status, as a player's first season of independent baseball doesn't count toward his status.

No. 27 Fabian Williamson, pitcher, 23: Lefty who has played in the Seattle and Boston organizations. He's been pencilled into the starting rotation.

No. 28 Kyle Day, catcher/outfielder, 25: Second-heaviest player in camp at 200 pounds (de Caster is 215). He is pencilled in to spell Alen at catcher and work in at the corner outfield positions.

No. 29 Matthew Rusch, pitcher, 28: Right-hander who is expected to be in the starting rotation. He joined the Goldeyes from the Quebec Les Capitales of the Can Am League, where he had a 17-6 record.

No. 31 Ace Walker, pitcher, 28: Right-hander become the first starter to play five seasons with the Goldeyes. Won 10 times last season and set the Goldeyes' record for most career victories (38).

No. 33 Dexter Carter, pitcher, 25: Right-hander is the tallest player in camp at 6-foot-6. A former Padres and White Sox prospect who could see action in middle relief.

No. 34 Craig James, pitcher, age 29: Right-hander and potential closer was acquired in the Brian Myrow trade with Grand Prairie.

No. 35 Kaohi Downing, infielder, age 25: Rookie from Hawaii who is coming off his first season as a position player after starting as a pitcher. Hit .312 in 52 games last season in the Northwest League.

No. 36 Nick Carr, pitcher, age 25: Right-hander who played the past six seasons in the Mets' organization. A potential closer with velocity in the mid-90s.

No. 54 David Narodowski, infielder, 23: Canadian from Vancouver is a versatile infielder. Won a bronze medal with Team Canada at the 2006 world junior championship.
