Wes Long throwing error. The T-Bones (12-15) extended their lead to 3-0 in the fourth, thanks to a solo home run to right field off the bat of DH Dwayne White.

Winnipeg (15-13) narrowed the gap in fifth inning, when OF Kody Kaiser crushed a Reid Santos (3-2) offering over the left field fence for a two-run home run. The blast was Kaiser's fourth of the season, tying C Alan Rick and DH Justin Bass for the team lead. Bass hit his fourth of the season, a solo shot, to tie the game in the seventh.

After Kansas City added a pair in the ninth, Long drove in a run with double in the bottom of the inning. The Goldeyes added another to make it a one-run game, but reliever Andy Shipman froze Rick with a third-strike breaking ball (with runners on second and third) to close out the game.

Goldeyes starter Chris Salamida lasted into the seventh inning, allowing three runs on five hits with six strikeouts. Reliever Kevin Light (0-3) took the loss for Winnipeg.

Some bad news for the Fish, as outfielder Jonathan Wyatt was forced to leave the game in the second inning when he re-injured his right hamstring running out a double. Wyatt had missed 12 games due to the hamstring, but the club said Friday's injury wasn't serious.

Winnipeg and Kansas City continue this three-game series tonight (6 p.m.). Left-hander Issac Hess (1-0, 2.57) goes for the home side. The T-Bones had yet to name a starter Friday night.
