Mo'ne Davis gives up 3 runs, gets pulled after 55 pitches at LLWS

  • Print

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Philadelphia's Mo'ne Davis, the first girl pitcher to win a game at the Little League World Series, was pulled in the third inning Wednesday night after allowing three runs to Las Vegas.

Davis, the darling of the sports world with her success and poise, was both masterful and ordinary on a night made short because of pitch-count rules. She allowed six hits and struck out six in 2 1-3 innings before leaving after 55 pitches.

That makes her eligible to pitch again in the U.S. championship game on Saturday.

Dallan Cave homered in the second off Davis to help stake Las Vegas to a 3-0 lead.
