Ailing Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler sitting out Knicks' game against Clippers

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler won't be playing for the New York Knicks against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

Coach Mike Woodson announced the decision after the Knicks arrived at Staples Center for their afternoon game.

Anthony is the NBA's second-leading scorer this season, averaging 27.5 points. Fluid was drained from his right knee recently. He left in the third quarter of his return to Denver on Wednesday, and sat out the Knicks' loss at Portland on Thursday.

Chandler bruised his left knee in a collision at Denver and missed the Knicks' visit to the Trail Blazers as well. The defence-minded big man leads the NBA in field goal percentage (.645) and is seventh in rebounds (11.0).

New York has lost three straight blowouts on its West Coast trip.
