NEW YORK, N.Y. - The NBA says it will hold Basketball without Borders camps this summer for the first time in Rome and Taipei, Taiwan.

The camps will also return to Johannesburg, South Africa, the league announced Tuesday along with FIBA, basketball's world governing body.

Running from June 2-5, the Rome camp will feature Italian NBA players Danilo Gallinari, Andrea Bargnani and Gigi Datome. Former NBA star Yao Ming of China will make a one-day appearance at the Taipei camp that will take place from June 13-16.

Camp will then return to South Africa for the 11th time from Aug. 5-8 and feature instruction from NBA coaches Jeff Hornacek of Phoenix, Dwane Casey of Toronto and Brian Shaw of Denver.

There have been 36 camps in 18 countries since they began in 2001. NBA players and coaches offer instruction, and the campers are also provided lessons in health and wellness.
