Timberwolves G JJ Barea ejected for Flagrant 2 foul on Ray Allen

MINNEAPOLIS - Minnesota Timberwolves guard J.J. Barea was ejected from the game against the Miami Heat in the fourth quarter after getting a Flagrant-2 foul for a hit on Ray Allen.

Barea knocked Allen to the court as the Heat guard tried to drive to the basket and he was initially given a Flagrant-1 foul. Allen immediately got up and went after Barea, but several players on both teams stepped in to breakup any potential confrontation. Upon review, officials ruled that it was a Flagrant-2, bringing an automatic ejection. Barea and Wolves coach Rick Adelman vehemently argued the ruling, but it did no good.

As Barea left the court, he exchanged heated words with Allen, who knocked down both free throws.
