Bison scholarship winners announced
Fifth-year forward Jared Walker of Winnipeg and third-year forward Kristen Cockerill of Selkirk, members of the University of Manitoba Bisons men’s and women’s hockey teams, have been selected as the 2011 winners of the $1,000 Sam Fabro Scholarships presented by the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame.
The scholarships are awarded annually to a male and a female hockey player at the University of Manitoba.
The awards are named for Fabro, who was the first chairman of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame
