Team Manitoba air pistol team takes bronze

Team Manitoba picked up its second bronze medal today in the women's air pistol team event at the Canada Winter Games in Halifax.

Caroline Sims of Minnedosa and East St. Paul’s Tanis Milne shot a total score of 695 to finish third behind Yukon and British Columbia, who both tied with 710 points. Individually, Sims shot a score of 355 out of a possible 400 and Milne shot a 340 out of 400.

Manitoba’s other bronze medal was won Monday when the women’s air rifle team of Connor Deneka and Heather McCrea took third place.

Manitoba’s medal count is now two bronze, with no golds or silvers.
