U of M golfers nab team win

Bryce Barr registered a two-day score of 150 (77-73) to finish six over par for second place, leading the University of Manitoba Bisons golf team to victory with an over all score of 611 (306-305) for +35 at the St. John’s Invitational tournament held at the par-72 Greystone and Blackberry Ridge Golf Course at Sauk Center, Minn., on Sept. 17-18.

Joining Barr on the championship squad were: Jesse Skelton (76-76) tied for fourth at +8, Burke Wiebe (75-79) tied for 10th at +10, Josh Wytinck (78-77) tied for 14th at +11 and Charlie Boyechko (78-86) tied for 52nd at +20.

Manitoba’s second team finished seventh. On this team were, Bobby Wiebe (76-77) led with 153 tied for eighth at +9, Scott Mazur (77-78) tied for 14th, Riley Unger (78-80) tied 32nd, Ryan Dirr (80-86) tied for 58th, and Brodie Gobin (93-87) tied for 101st.
