Winnipeg's Kenyon chosen as Pan Am Games ref
Only two Canadians will be refereeing basketball at the 2011 Pan Am Games in Guadalajara, Mex., and Reid Kenyon of Winnipeg is one of them.
The games run from Oct. 21-30 and feature national teams from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Canada, Mexico and the United States in the men’s competition, and Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Canada, Mexico and the United States in the women’s.
This is not the first time Kenyon has been selected by FIBA (International Basketball Federation) Americas to work at a top level of assignment. His past duties include world-calibre events in Europe, Mexico and the USA.
