Detroit running back Kevin Smith injures leg in first half against Green Bay

  • Print

DETROIT - Lions running back Kevin Smith is hurt again.

Smith left Thursday's game against Green Bay with what appeared to be a right ankle problem during an injury-filled first half. Detroit also lost defensive backs Louis Delmas and Chris Houston to knee injuries.

Green Bay linebackers A.J. Hawk and Desmond Bishop left with calf injuries, and Packers offensive lineman Josh Sitton hurt a knee.

All the injured players are considered questionable to return.

Smith rushed for 140 yards last weekend against Carolina, giving the Detroit running game a much-needed boost. He struggled the last two seasons because of knee and thumb injuries, and the Lions actually let him go during the off-season before bringing him back earlier this month.
