Goaltenders Price and Khabibulin and forward Jagr named NHL stars of week
TORONTO - Goaltenders Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens and Nikolai Khabibulin of the Edmonton Oilers along with Philadelphia Flyers forward Jaromir Jagr were named the NHL's players of the week on Monday.
Price led Montreal to three straight wins, posting a 1.33 goals-against average and .950 save percentage. He stopped 20 shots in a 5-1 win over Philadelphia on Wednesday for his 100th career regular-season victory.
Khabibulin guided Edmonton to a 3-0-0 record with a 1.67 GAA and .951 save percentage. With a 7-2-2 record, the Oilers are first in the Western Conference.
Jagr had a league-leading five goals last week as Philadelphia earned two wins in four games. The 39-year-old native of the Czech Republic has 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 11 games with the Flyers.
