ZAGREB, Croatia - The Croatian ski association says Ivica Kostelic will undergo knee surgery for the 10th time of his career.

Kostelic, who won a slalom race in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, on Sunday, will have the operation on his left knee in April, allowing him the chance to take part in the World Cup finals starting Wednesday despite the injury.

The 33-year-old Kostelic, who won the overall World Cup title in 2011, has dealt with numerous injuries during his career.

Kostelic has said he won't retire before taking part in next year's Sochi Olympics.
