Grassie talks MCA Bonspiel book at News Café

Sean Grassie left no burned stone unturned in researching his curling book, Kings of the Rings: 125 Years of the World's Biggest Bonspiel.

The 2009 Canadian Mixed Champion officially launched the book at McNally Robinson Booksellers at Grant Park Shopping Centre Wednesday evening and on Thursday he visited the Winnipeg Free Press News Café at to discuss the world's biggest curling bonspiel.

He interviewed many of the province's curling legends, including Kerry Burtnyk and Jeff Stoughton, to give readers an inside look at the legendary sporting event, which was first held in 1887. For example, many years ago, a duty of the provincial curling association chaplain was to be on the ice to assess and collect fines for violent language.

Grassie's interview with reporter Geoff Kirbyson was live streamed. You can watch a replay here.
