Amateur football collects $127,500 from Bombers
All those 50-50 draws at Winnipeg Blue Bombers home games in 2012 added up to a windfall of $127,500 for amateur football in this province, the Bombers announced this afternoon.
With their latest cheque to Football Manitoba, the Bombers say the club's 50-50 draws have now generated a total of $1.2 million for amateur football since 2002.

"Our 50-50 program is very successful at our home games and the generosity of fans does not go unnoticed," club CEO Garth Buchko said in a statement.
Ron East, executive director of Football Manitoba, said the money is used to provide financial support to its member organizations.
