Milt Stegall to be inducted in Hall of Fame celebration hosted by Bombers
The Canadian Football Hall of Fame is coming to Manitoba.
The Blue Bombers announced that the 2012 induction celebration will be held in Winnipeg Nov. 1-3. The three-day event features a gala dinner at the Winnipeg Convention Centre Friday, Nov. 2, with the Hall of Fame game between the Bombers and the Montreal Alouettes slated to go at Canad Inns Stadium the following day (Saturday, Nov. 3).
The Bombers last hosted the Hall of Fame game in 2009.
Two former Bombers – receiver Milt Stegall and defensive end Tyrone Jones (posthumously) – are among the Class of 2012. Others set to be enshrined include former CFL greats Damon Allen, Jack Abendschan, and Canadian college standout Eric LaPointe. Current Toronto Argonauts and B.C. Lions owner David Braley and former University of Calgary coach Peter Connellan are to be inducted in the builder category.
