Bombers to open mini-camp Wednesday at stadium

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced the final details of the three-day mini camp, with one minor change from the original plan.

The camp, which starts Wednesday and runs through Friday, will be held at Canad Inns Stadium and not the Winnipeg Indoor Soccer Complex at the University of Manitoba. The pleasant April conditions and dry forecast prompted coaches to make the switch in venue.

All three practices are open to the public. Fans are asked to enter the stadium through the Bombers Store on the west side of the facility.

Workouts are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. daily.

As of Monday, the following players are expected to participate in the camp:

  • Quarterbacks — Buck Pierce, Alex Brink, Joey Elliott, Justin Goltz
  • Running Backs — Chris Garrett, Chad Simpson, Anthony Woodson, Jordan Matechuk
  • Wide Receivers — Kito Poblah, Clarence Denmark, Cassidy Doneff, Rory Kolhert, Cory Watson, Kurt Adams
  • Offensive Linemen — Chris Greaves, Chris Kowalczuk, Steve Morley, Justin Sorenson, Paul Swiston, Glenn January
  • Linebackers — Pierre-Luc Labbe, Henoc Muamba, Marcellus Bowman, Dustin Doe
  • Defensive Backs — Jonathan Hefney, Deon Beasley, Jovon Johnson, Darrel Pasco
