Pierce not rushing back from injury
Injured Bombers quarterback Buck Pierce says he doesn't expect his foot injury to take any more or less time to heal than expected.
When speaking with reporters Tuesday afternoon, Pierce said his doctors and training staff thought it was a good idea not to rush things.
"They're telling me take your time, be smart with it and that's what I have to do," Pierce said.
He told reporters he had expected to be practicing this week, but is now looking to get on the practice field next week.
Pierce suffered torn ligaments in his left foot in a July 13 loss to the Edmonton Eskimos.
