The Canadian Football League and the CFL Players’ Association have called a press conference for 9 a.m. CT Tuesday morning at which time the details of the new collective bargaining agreement will be announced.

After watching Friday come and go (and ultimately making liars out of all of us), the Bombers coaching staff finally revealed which players have agreed to be on the practice roster today. In no particular order, here's who is staying with the club:

-The Bombers have yet to announce their practice roster players, although almost all of their rivals did so on Friday. It’s not a big deal to the casual fan, but the lack of an announcement is curious and leads us in the media biz to only speculate that they are tinkering with their extras or looking at cast-offs from other teams.

This is what I wrote after practice today: LOOKING GOOD: Thumbs up to WR Kenny Strickland and WR Chris Davis, who made a few nice catches during the first half of the workout. Strickland had his best day in camp, pulling down a number of wet balls.

Bombers head coach Paul LaPolice said the club expects to take around 55 players to Hamilton for the second pre-season game (Sunday, noon), with injuries and veteran status dictating most of the decisions on who goes and who gets to stay.

Two days removed from an encouraging pre-season game, this morning's practice was less than kind to a few Blue Bombers players. So inconsistent was the offence during work against the defence, head coach Paul LaPolice threatened to shut things down and start practice all over again. This was a couple hours into the four-plus hour session.

Reaction: “Did you hear about Darian Durant? Yeah, it turns out the Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback broke the thumb on his throwing hand Thursday morning. It’s true. That’s what I heard anyway. Looks like it’s Ryan Dinwiddie! Doug Berry must be thrilled!”
Analysis: This was the basic framework for any and all Durant conversation at Canad Inns Stadium Thursday morning, as word leaked about his supposed thumb injury.

STARS OF THE DAY: DB Jason Tate picked off another pass and stood out again, but we also liked the work of LB Thaine Carter and DE Phillip Hunt on a day when the rain-soaked footballs looked like they were coated in grease and as difficult to pick up as a wet bar of soap.
