New QB Richie Williams was finally tossing passes today and looked comfy at the controls. The former Hamilton Tiger-Cat, by the way, looks a lot like actor/rapper Will Smith. We asked him about that today and says he hears that all the time.

We also asked head coach Mike Kelly if he was a Will Smith fan and he offered up this:

"If you live in Philadelphia you have to be a Will Smith fan. Come on now, ‘Summertime’ in Philadelphia (Smith’s video ‘Summertime was shot throughout Philly, his hometown). Will’s more buff than Richie is. Once he did the ‘Ali’ movie it was over with so Richie’s got a long way to go to catch Will."

Here's Smith's 'Summertime' video

- LB Thaine Carter has a separated shoulder and will be out for a spell. That has director of player personnel John Murphy looking for another Canadian LB.

- Miami Dolphins scout Matt Winston was in attendance today and Murphy expects the club to have visits from at least six more NFL teams.

- Still no sign of DB Lenny Walls, currently in a contract dispute with the Bombers. Kelly said the lines of communication is still open, but every day the former Calgary Stampeder isn't here hurts him.

- K Dan Giancola (groin) should be out trying field goals on Wednesday.

Stay tuned for more updates as camp progresses.
