Blue Bomber Report Record: 5–3–0

Winnipeg Free Press - ONLINE EDITION

Notes from the press box before kickoff

  • Print

The four Bomber inactives for tonight are WR Craphonso Thorpe, CB James Johnson, LB Siddeeq Shabazz and OL Lorne Plante. The two changes are LB Pierre-Luc Labbe for Kelly Bates and CB Brandon Steward for James Johnson.

Word still is that Obby Khan will start at centre, but expect to see a lot of Ryan Donnelly there. Donnelly will also get some time, apparently, at right guard along with Luke Fritz.

Bombers Scores

The sun has appeared and crews spent a lot of time clearing water from the infield. The field looks good.

A few things to keep an eye on:

  1. Will the Bombers be able to run the ball against the Alouettes stingy defence?
  2. Will the Bombers be able to show any consistency in the passing game?
  3. Does anybody stand up to give Winnipeg a solid return game?
