'So how's it lookin'?'
Folks keep asking, ‘What do you think?’ Truth is, we really won’t get a read on how good – or bad – this Bomber squad will be at least until the second pre-season game in Montreal.
Expect the Bombers to play a ton of guys in next week’s game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats before trying to get their starters ready in the second exhibition game against the Als a week later.

As it stands, so many starting jobs remain up for grabs – particularly in the secondary – it’s tough to gauge what we’re looking at right now.
Dan Giancola still isn’t kicking. Word from personnel guy John Murphy is his groin is still bothering him a bit. He won’t kick in Friday’s Blue-Gold Game but should be good to go for next week’s preseason tilt against the Ticats. WR Romby Bryant, DB Willie Amos; DB Jasper Johnson; DL Doug Brown.
Unfortunately, LB Thaine Carter separated his shoulder and that’s why the team will send him back to Queen’s for another year and hope he’ll return for 2010.
Contract talks with DB Lenny Walls are said to be ‘progressing’, but another day has passed without the big defender in camp and that hurts whatever kind of chemistry the secondary could build before the regular-season opener July 2nd in Edmonton.
Our stars for Day 4: K Alexis Serna; DB Jovon Johnson; DL Montez Murphy; DL DeVon Hicks; OL Matt O’Meara; WR Arjei Franklin; RB Fred Reid; QB Richie Williams.
