Blue re-sign Pontbriand

  • Print

THE Winnipeg Blue Bombers have locked up one of their important, if not unsung, Canadian pieces.

The club announced Wednesday it has re-signed fullback Michel-Pierre Pontbriand, who was scheduled to become a free agent next month after spending the past three seasons with the Bombers.

"Michel-Pierre is a great asset for us as a Canadian player, who understands our league, is a great teammate and locker-room guy, and a player who works extremely hard every day," said GM Kyle Walters in a press release.
